Tomorrow will mark a special day in New York sneaker game history. Releasing in very limited quantities are the five Air Force 1′s pictured above. All five are part of a special pack, known as the “Borough Pack”. In collaboration with DJ Clark Kent, and in commemoration of the World Basketball Festival taking place soon, Nike has designed five Air Force 1′s: one for each of New York City’s boroughs. Each of the Air Force 1′s, with colorways inspired by varsity jackets, are composed of wool, tumbled leather, chenile material (on the swoosh), satin inner lining, and a nice touch of 3M on the piping. The “Borough Pack” Air Force 1′s have gum soles, giving them an even more classic look. As for further design detail, each shoe has an emblem on its side, signifying the borough it is designed for, along with laces that have said borough and “New York” imprinted on them. Whenever I look at these Air Force 1′s, I think of Bespoke-like quality. All of them look so amazing, especially with the wool and chenile on the bright white tumbled leather. Tomorrow will be a big day because that is when these five Air Force 1′s officially release. You can pick up all five of the “Borough Pack” Air Force 1′s starting tomorrow, July 31st, on NikeStore, as well as at some stores, like House of Hoops in Harlem and 21 Mercer. To follow up on my brother’s video review, I figured that I’d do one of my own. While I have been in Massachusetts, I have picked up two pairs of sneakers. I am very satisfied with both of them, and you can see why by watching the video review right above. Enjoy!

Hey everyone, Dylan here. I just wanted to update you all on mine and Jake’s time in Massachusetts and give a quick review of what in my opinion is an awesome sneaker, the “Chrome Ball” SB Dunk Highs! So here you go, and I hope you all enjoy the video.
Hello to all. As you probably should have guessed by now, Dylan and I will not be able to keep you all as informed on the latest in sneakers as we intended to. Fortunately, we still have Internet access up in MA. So, we will try and make some posts here and there. Today, I am here to inform you Long Islanders of some pretty exciting Long Island-related sneaker news!
Now Releasing: Nike Air Force 1 “Hamptons”
Fresh off of the “Jones Beach” Air Force 1 release about one month ago comes another Air Force 1 ode to Long Island. This time around, Nike takes inspiration from the all-white attire out east in making the “Hamptons” Air Force 1. In representing such a high luxury area, Nike decided to use white calfskin leather with small perforations. More obvious elements of the shoe that come from the Hamptons are the “H” tongue tab, the map representation of the Hamptons shown through the shoe’s smokey clear outsole, and the phrase “Good Ground” on the shoe’s insole. “Good Ground” is the name that the initial settlers of the Hamptons area gave to the land. If the “Jones Beach” Air Force 1 wasn’t your thing, but you still like both Long Island and shoes, then go pick up the “Hamptons” Air Force 1 from locations such as 21 Mercer, Blue & Cream (a boutique in the Hamptons), Exit 36, or House of Hoops!
Nike SB Blazer Mid “Poets Skate Shop”
When I made a visit to Poets Skate Shop on Memorial Day, and reported on the visit later, I told you all that Poets would be releasing a Blazer, in collaboration with NIke SB. Well, here’s the final result of said collaboration. The “Poets” Nike SB Blazer Mid is comprised of a perforated, obsidian suede upper, complemented perfectly by an obsidian canvas swoosh, an obsidian canvas lace placket, and an obsidian outsole. In addition, the white on this Blazer, found on the midsole and on the back of the shoe, give the “Poets” Nike SB Blazer Mid some nice contrast. What makes this shoe even more special is the lighthouse logo found on the back of it, the Poets Skate Shop logo. Look for this shoe to drop early in August, with a special release being held at Poets Skate Shop on Sunday, August 8th. (Picture via Sneaker News)
RUMOR: House of Hoops to open in Roosevelt Field?!
After hearing about another House of Hoops location opening in New York City, this may seem farfetched, but listen anyways. According to my sources, a House of Hoops will open in Roosevelt Field later this summer. Stay tuned for more details as the summer rages on!
