Now Releasing: Nike Air Force 1 “Borough Pack”
Tomorrow will mark a special day in New York sneaker game history. Releasing in very limited quantities are the five Air Force 1′s pictured above. All five are part of a special pack, known as the “Borough Pack”. In collaboration with DJ Clark Kent, and in commemoration of the World Basketball Festival taking place soon, Nike has designed five Air Force 1′s: one for each of New York City’s boroughs. Each of the Air Force 1′s, with colorways inspired by varsity jackets, are composed of wool, tumbled leather, chenile material (on the swoosh), satin inner lining, and a nice touch of 3M on the piping. The “Borough Pack” Air Force 1′s have gum soles, giving them an even more classic look. As for further design detail, each shoe has an emblem on its side, signifying the borough it is designed for, along with laces that have said borough and “New York” imprinted on them. Whenever I look at these Air Force 1′s, I think of Bespoke-like quality. All of them look so amazing, especially with the wool and chenile on the bright white tumbled leather. Tomorrow will be a big day because that is when these five Air Force 1′s officially release. You can pick up all five of the “Borough Pack” Air Force 1′s starting tomorrow, July 31st, on NikeStore, as well as at some stores, like House of Hoops in Harlem and 21 Mercer.
