Video Review: Nike SB Dunk High “RESN”

Looks like I’m on a Nike SB Dunk High roll! Here’s a quick look at my third consecutive Dunk High pickup, the “RESN” Dunk High. Be sure to comment on the things that I ask you all to in the video!

Air Jordan XI Retro “Concord” New Images

Air Jordan XI Retro "Concord"

Here we have some more pictures of the 2011 retro of the beloved “Concord” Air Jordan XI. The ice-blue translucent outsole, shiny black patent leather, and clean white mesh upper on the “Concord” XI make it look so crispy in this set of pictures! In addition, the box for the 2011 “Concord” XI has been revealed. To no one’s surprise, the box is exactly like the 2009 “Space Jam” and 2010 “Cool Grey” XI boxes, but in the “Concord” colorway. As of now, the shoe is expected to release in late December, but if you cannot wait till then, you can pick up a pair now, courtesy of Kicks-Lab. Stick with Sole Camp for further release information, when it comes out, of one of the most anticipated Air Jordans of 2011. In the meanwhile, check out some more pictures of the “Concord” XI, including some of the box, below. (more…)

Entourage x Nike SB Dunk Low “Lights Out” Possible Release Information

Entourage x Nike SB Dunk Low "Lights Out"

Along with the mega-hyped “Space Jam” SB Dunk Low (which some people waited 12+ hours for), the “Lights Out” Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration with Entourage is bringing Nike SB the most attention it has received in a while! All the different information regarding a release is driving people crazy. Initially, the shoe was not expected to be released at all. Then, rumors of an August or Black Friday quickstrike release spread. Since my last post on the coveted sneaker, two more possible dates have emerged. A little more than a week ago, California-based sneakerhead Shoe Wolf said that he heard that the “Lights Out” SB Dunk Low might release of 11/11/11. In addition, another California-based sneaker source, skate shop Brooklyn Projects, has stated that the “Lights Out” SB Dunk Low will release in October. Stay tuned to Sole Camp for any further release information. (Picture via neo122401 on eBay)

More Air Jordan IV Retro Colorways Slated for 2012

Air Jordan IV "Bred"

Air Jordan IV "Bred"

Looks like the Air Jordan XII is not alone in ruling 2012. One Air Jordan IV Retro release was already confirmed for 2012 (the “White Cement” colorway). But now, three more will join the “White Cements”. The best part of it all? The other three Air Jordan IV Retros slated for 2012 are also original colorways of Jordan’s fourth signature. The “Bred” colorway of the Air Jordan IV, last seen in the Air Jordan IV/Air Jordan XIX Countdown Package from 2008, will release once again. The “Military Blue” Air Jordan IV will see a Retro release after a six year hiatus. Finally, the “Fire Red” colorway of the Air Jordan IV will see the light of day once again. In 2006, a similarly color-blocked Air Jordan IV Retro released with Varsity Red (as opposed to Fire Red) accents and a Mars Blackmon logo. Hopefully, the 2012 “Fire Red” Air Jordan IV Retro release will be truer to OG form. No source has given an indication of when the shoes will release, but stay tuned to Sole Camp if you want the low-down on the 2012 Air Jordan IV Retros’ release information when it drops.

Now Releasing: Nike Air Griffey Max 1 “Emerald”

As the baseball season rages on, Nike releases a classic colorway of an even more classic training silhouette. The “Emerald” Griffey Max 1 was initially slated to release on August 10th, but apparently, stores are getting the shoe in earlier than expected. If you’re looking for the perfect pair of shoes to match your Freshwater Seattle Mariners cap, then look no further than retailers like Extra Butter that have the “Emerald” Griffey Max 1 available now.

Photo Break: Boston Trip & NYC

In the past week, Jake and I have been to many cool sneaker shops, and areas in general, both when we were in Boston, and back home in NY. I just uploaded a bunch of photos from our whole Boston trip (Thursday-Saturday), and our day adventure to NYC on Sunday onto the Sole Camp Facebook page. Check out the photos when you get a chance, and stay tuned for a report on some hot sneaker stores in Boston that’s coming in the next few days.

Air Jordan XI Retro “Concord” Full Preview

Air Jordan XI Retro "Concord"

Air Jordan XI Retro "Concord"

In the words of Kanye West, “This what you all been waitin’ for, ain’t it?” Here is the first full-length preview of the “Concord” Air Jordan XI Retro releasing later this year. Overall, the shoe looks true to OG form, with the same white and black colorway, and the same Dark Concord accents as on past releases. However, it also looks like Jordan Brand is going the cheaper route by giving the 2011 version a lower patent leather cut, similar to the recent Air Jordan XI Retro releases. Judging from the success of the past couple Air Jordan XI Retro releases, though, this doesn’t really matter to most. One thing that OG Jordan heads can rejoice about is that the sole on the 2011 “Concord” Air Jordan XI Retro looks as blue as the original version’s sole did, and not a super-saturated ice blue like other recent Jordan releases. Expect more images of the 2011 “Concord” Air Jordan XI Retro to come out soon, but for now, you can thank Modern-Notoriety for the preview.

Now Releasing: Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski “Boat Shoe”

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski "Boat Shoe"

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski "Boat Shoe"

Ever since its debut, the Zoom Stefan Janoski has been lauded for its skate-ability, but also for its classy, boat shoe look. Well, Nike decided to take an even further step towards a boat shoe feeling on the Janoski signature, and look what we have here. The “Boat Shoe” Janoski is like no other. While the shoe has all of the same features as any other Zoom Stefan Janoski, it also has something extra: back lacing like one would see on a Sperry or Sebago shoe. In tandem with the shades of brown and tan, the boat shoe lacing gives a nice, beachy feel to the “Boat Shoe” Janoski. Are you a fan? If so, the shoe should be at your local Nike SB retailer within the next few days, if not already. Music Break: Macklemore – “WINGS”

Rappers talk about sneakers casually on their songs, but rarely do we ever hear anything about sneakers in sonically outstanding songs like the one above. In “WINGS”, Macklemore takes on a more serious, intellectual side to Jordan collecting. Have absolutely no idea what I mean? Watch the video above and see for yourself. Trust me. It is definitely worth a watch.
