Now Releasing: Nike LeBron 9 “Miami Hurricanes”

Nike LeBron 9 "Miami Hurricanes"

Nike LeBron 9 "Miami Hurricanes"

By now, I am sure that everyone reading this post is aware that the NBA lockout is basically over. As for the NCAA Basketball scene? It has been in session since mid-November. The Miami Hurricanes have been on a roll, with four wins and an overtime loss out of the five games that they have played so far. Whether you’ve been one of the ‘Canes supporters throughout the wins, or just a fan of the white, orange, and green color scheme, there’s no question that the “Miami Hurricanes” LeBron 9 colorway is one of the more appealing out of the colorways revealed. If you’re on the hunt for a pair, then you better get ready, as the shoe drops at Nike Basketball retailers, like House of Hoops, tomorrow, November 29th.

Extra Butter x Reebok Pump “Ahchoo” Sneak Preview

Extra Butter x Reebok Pump "Ahchoo"

Extra Butter x Reebok Pump "Ahchoo"

Extra Butter is known to many as one of Long Islands finest sneaker boutiques in terms of many things. Their store has one of the better, if not the best conceptual designs out of any sneaker store in the area. The crew at the store holds plenty of fun events for their supporters, ranging from parties to movie showings, and even video game tournaments. Their apparel selection is awesome. But best of all is their diverse assortment of sneakers. In addition to the Nike and Jordan Brand products that all of your typical sneaker stores carry, EB has loads of stuff from the likes of Vans, Adidas, and Reebok. In fact, Extra Butter has a R23 account, which gives the store access to Reebok exclusives. And from the looks of a video that EB put on their blog, it looks like that’s not all they share with Reebok.

If you’re a real movie buff, then you might realize the similarity between that video and this scene from Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Add the fact the Extra Butter titled their video “Ahchoo” (the name of Dave Chapelle’s character in the movie), and it looks like we have an apparent connection between the movie and a certain Extra Butter-designed Reebok Pump that is shown near the end of the video. We at Sole Camp don’t cover Reebok on a normal basis, but be assured that we will keep you updated on the “Ahchoo” Reebok Pump as further details surface.

Air Jordan III Retro “Black Flip” Review at Exit 36

This shoe is a Quickstrike, and as such, will not be available at every Jordan Brand retailer. However, Exit 36 will have the “Black Flip” III when it it released this Saturday, December 3rd. Check the video for a quick look at this sleek Air Jordan III Retro.

Nike Zoom KD IV Update – Launch Colorways, “Nerf”, & “Weatherman”

In the past few weeks, news on several colorways of the KD IV has been revealed:

Launch Colorways – “Thunder Away” & “Blackout”

Nike Zoom KD IV "Blackout" & "Thunder Away"

Nike Zoom KD IV "Blackout" & "Thunder Away"

To start off the run of the KD IV, Nike is releasing what are usually two go-to colorways for Basketball players both in the NBA and at your local high school: a “Thunder Away” KD IV and a “Blackout” KD IV. Both pairs (and all KD IVs) feature a lightweight upper, a cross-mid-foot strap, and a new Adaptive Fit system. Both of these colorways will come out on December 2nd, but you can pre-order them on NikeStore now (Picture via Sneaker News).

Nike Zoom KD IV “Nerf” – New Pictures and Release Date

Nike Zoom KD IV "Nerf"

Nike Zoom KD IV "Nerf"

Around a month ago, Kevin Durant debuted the high-energy “Nerf” colorway of the KD IV that Nike worked with toy company Hasbro to create. Since then, many people have exclaimed how they cannot wait for this sick conceptual piece that even comes with a Nerf hoop and ball! Well, the wait will not be too long, as the “Nerf” KD IV will release on December 17th, 2011. Check out Sneaker News for some more pictures of the colorful shoe.

Nike Zoom KD IV “Weatherman”

Did I just say high-energy and sick conceptual piece? Yes, and I should say it again and again for the “Weatherman” KD IV. This sneaker, which takes its cue from Kevin Durant’s childhood dream of becoming a meteorologist, features a weather radar pattern all across its upper, with shades of green, yellow, orange, and red. Those bright colors are evened out with a black/yellow cross-mid-foot strap, a black midsole, and a clear outsole (that also features some of the weather radar patterns). Stay tuned to Sole Camp for further details on the “Weatherman” KD IV, Kevin Durant’s favorite colorway of the KD IV yet (Picture via Sneaker News).

Black Friday Deals and New Releases for the Tri-State Area

Along with the cool sneaker releases for Black Friday (which is tomorrow!), many streetwear/footwear stores are having awesome sales and putting out other nice fashion-related products. Here are some of the notable sales/products for stores in the Tri-State Area:

Reed Space

Progressive Sale

Reed Space, one of downtown NYC’s popular streetwear/footwear shops (especially because its owner is Jeff Staple, who owns the brand STPL and designed the infamous “Pigeon” SB Dunk Low), is having a “Progressive” sale on all products, meaning the more you spend, the more you save. Check their website for more information.

Sneaker Bistro

Sneaker Bistro

If you’re looking for a quick deal on a cool Nike Sportswear shoe, look no further than Sneaker Bistro‘s “Blackout” sale: 10%-30% off all products in the store! You can head over there later tonight or anytime tomorrow afternoon.

Packer Shoes

Black Friday Sale

Another cool footwear store with a great sale going on is Packer Shoes, located in Teaneck, NJ. The store’s collection of (mostly) retro models is all 40% off, while their apparel is all 50% off. Packer is even selling some tees for a measly $10! If you want a nice adventure (that’s worth it), head over to Teaneck tomorrow.

Kixclusive

Kixclusive

Above, you can see some of the cool footwear that sneaker consignment-shop Kixclusive has in stock, such as the “Doernbecher” IV, “Knicks” Spizikes, and even the upcoming “Varsity Red” Foamposite One, and it’s all $20 less expensive tomorrow, both in physical and online (through using the code BLKFRI20)!

Kith

Kith Black Friday Products

Kith, Ronnie Fieg’s men’s footwear shop, has made some headlines in the past few weeks because of its new Manhattan location, and the releases of the “Grand Opening” New Balance 574 pack and “Leatherback” Gel Lyte III. Tomorrow, Black Friday, Kith is releasing more designs: a nice Leopard-print varsity jacket, and two colorways of the Sebago Iroquois boot. For more details on availability and price, head over to Kith’s website.

Extra Butter

Extra Butter Premium Snapbacks and 4-Year Anniversary Sale

The truest-to-day-theme release comes from Extra Butter, another one of Long Island’s premier sneaker boutiques. In honor of the re-release of the “Black Cement” III, EB is releasing two premium snapbacks (in Black/Red and Black/Grey), each brimmed with a elephant-printed elephant hide. In addition, for those of you looking for some great deals, EB has you covered with its 4-Year Anniversary Black Friday Sale! Deals in the sale include groupings of shoes for $200, $150, $100 and $75, and 20%-50% off apparel. Jake and I went to EB for Black Friday last year, and I was really surprised at how cheap they were selling some shoes for! If you’re on Long Island tomorrow, I really suggest stopping there.

Now Releasing: Air Jordan III Retro “Black Cement”

Air Jordan III Retro "Black Cement"

Air Jordan III Retro "Black Cement"

Pairs on pairs on pairs. That is what some people who are in it for the long run might just buy tomorrow. Ever since news of the release broke late last year, people have been waiting on the “Black Cement” Air Jordan III Retro release for 2011. The last time that this shoe came out was in 2008, except that was in a Countdown Package with an Air Jordan XX Retro. It has not released individually since the 2001 Retro release – ten years ago, that is. For those of you who missed out then and in 2008, this could very well be your last chance to get “Black Cement” IIIs at retail price for a long time. You know all about this sneaker already; Dylan and I reviewed this version last week, and before that, we showed you picture after picture of the shoe. Now, enough of the talk. Tomorrow is the release day of the 2011 “Black Cement” Air Jordan III Retro. If you want to secure your pair(s), then you better get to your local Jordan Brand retailer as early as possible tomorrow! Now Releasing: Nike Total Air Foamposite Max Black/Anthracite

Nike Total Air Foamposite Max Black/Anthracite

Nike Total Air Foamposite Max Black/Anthracite

There is no question that the Total Air Foamposite Max is a sturdy shoe. The sneaker’s Foamposite-covered upper makes for an extremely durable, and in tandem with the shoe’s Max Air unit, comfortable wear. However, the shoe has only released recently in the flashy “Metallic Silver” colorway that would most likely never see adverse weather conditions. Nike’s solution? Drop a colorway of the shoe to perfectly fit it’s build: Black/Anthracite. With a matte black Foamposite upper, this colorway of the Total Air Foamposite Max should be able to make its way through the winter rain and snow looking untouched. That is just the nature of an all-black shoe; it will look rugged and ready to brave the storm no matter how many times it is worn. If you need a dependable winter beater, then this Total Air Foamposite Max is definitely for you. Make sure to get to your local Nike Sportswear retailer early tomorrow morning if you want a pair, as that is when they will release. (Picture via West NYC)

Sneaker Con NYC – Saturday, December 10th, 2011

Sneaker Con NYC December 2011

In almost two weeks, Sneaker Con, the “premier event for sneaker connoisseurs,” will hit New York City for the last time this year. The popular sneaker tradeshow has certainly made its way around, as it has stopped previously in NYC, Washington DC and Miami, and soon enough it will also hit Atlanta and Los Angeles! Sneaker Con will take place at 151 Sullivan Street in Soho (like it has for its past three NY appearances) on Saturday, December 10th, from 12 PM to 7 PM. Admission for the event will be $12. Jake and I attended Sneaker Con both times it stopped in NYC this year, and we had a great time and were able to sell some kicks each time, so I suggest that you get your money ready for this wonderful event! In the meanwhile, check out the cool poster for the event above that features a King Kong-sized gorilla in arguably the hottest release of the Holiday 2011 season, the “Concord” Air Jordan XI, and a damsel wearing, ironically enough, the upcoming JS Gorilla. Stay tuned to Sole Camp for any further details on the event.

Nice Kicks x New Balance 1500

Nice Kicks x New Balance 1500

Nice Kicks x New Balance 1500

Over 2011, New Balance has provided the masses with some pretty cool designs. Earlier in the year, NB teamed up with Concepts to design and release the “Kennedy” New Balance 999. Most recently, the New Balance and Ronnie Fieg collaboration project materialized in the form of two premium-quality, monotone New Balance 574s. Next up on NB’s list of hot collaboration releases is the shoe above: the New Balance 1500 designed by well-known sneaker blog Nice Kicks. Color-wise, this 1500 is simple, with a few shades of grey and hits of white and red (yes, the same red featured all over Nice Kicks’s website), However, the complex design of the 1500 silhouette and the look of the materials used on this colorway specifically make this Nice Kicks collaboration one interesting project. For now, you can just keep a date locked and loaded in your head: Friday, December 16th. That is the date which Nice Kicks founder and editor in-chief Matt Halfhill referred to at the end of his reveal post. With that said, stay tuned for more news on the Nice Kicks x New Balance 1500, as it is bound to come sooner than later.
