Ah, the days of middle school. Easy and care-free, right? It looks like LeBron James has been thinking about his middle school days over the past three years. When tomorrow hits, this bright purple and teal “Summit Lake Hornets” LeBron 9, based on the color scheme for LeBron’s rec-league team in middle school, will be released at various Nike Basketball retailers, like Extra Butter.

Ronnie Fieg has released lots a great shoes in the past few months by way of his store Kith. Most recently, Fieg dropped the valiant “Rose Gold” GT-II to many people waiting outside both Kith locations and thousands waiting online. As Fieg readies his biannual Sebago collection, he is also getting ready to unleash yet another hot Asics shoe: the “Super Red 2.0″ GT-II, which I guess uses the same shade of Red as on the “Super Red” Gel Lyte III. As you can see above, Theophilus London has his pair already, but you should be able to have the “Super Red 2.0″ GT-II soon too. Stay tuned to Sole Camp for further information on the red-hot sneaker.
Today, I have some good news, and some bad news, with both being related to the month of June. First, the bad. After the release date for the first Air Yeezy 2 colorway was confirmed to be Friday, April 13, it was set back indefinitely. Now, the release date has been confirmed to be in June. And the good news. The recently revealed “South Beach” LeBron 9 P.S. Elite now has a release date. The new iteration of the “South Beach” LeBron colorway will hit stores just in time for June balling, as it drops on Saturday, June 2. (Pictures via Modern-Notoriety)

Last night was fun. In addition to it being our birthday, it also marked the release of Extra Butter’s second collaboration with Reebok, the “Sheriff” Pump OXT. Check the video above for a quick look at the release event, and also check out our Facebook page for a photo roll of the night.

Almost three months ago, the guys at Extra Butter took you back in time with the Robin Hood: Men in Tights-inspired “Ahchoo” Reebok Pump AXT. With the same movie in mind, EB concocted a Pump OXT that’s definitely out-of-this-world: the “Sheriff” Pump OXT. The shoe, inspired by the movie’s final scenes, is releasing tonight (at 12 AM) at Extra Butter, and at 11 AM on their webstore tomorrow. EB also created some apparel just for the occasion. Both the black crewneck with a twill-print logo and the green Reebok snapback with the feather over the ear would look great with the “Sheriffs” or on their own. You can also pick up the clothing from Extra Butter tonight or their webstore tomorrow. Good luck in your hunt!
In 2012, Jordan Brand brought out a short line of Air Jordan X Retros. It started in January with the return of the epic “Chicago” Air Jordan X. In February, the brand behind the Jumpman supplied blue lovers with an “Old Royal” colorway of the silhouette. To cap it all off, Jordan Brand is set to drop the “Stealth” Air Jordan X Retro seen above. For those of you who prefer simple shoes, this Air Jordan X Retro might be for you, with its black base and white and grey accents. Check your local Jordan Brand retailer tomorrow to pick up a pair of “Stealth” Air Jordan X Retros.

Looks like the guys behind the Nike LeBron line thought it was time for a colorway change-up. The “Summit Lake Hornets” colorways of the Air Max LeBron VII and LeBron 8 had dark bases with purple and teal accents. The LeBron 9 iteration, however, has a bright purple base with teal accents on the strap, lining, swoosh, and midsole. Speaking of the midsole, it also has a cool white splatter print, and is bottomed out by a white outsole. If you like the purple and teal of LeBron James’ childhood basketball team, then make sure to hit up your local Nike Basketball retailer, like Exit 36, on the release date of this LeBron 9: Saturday, March 31.

Things like release dates and official colorways have been revealed for the Air Yeezy 2 (or at least a release date for the first colorway), but yet, much remains of the Yeezy 2 to be revealed in detail. Well, this new set of pictures of the Wolf Grey/Pure Platinum colorway of Kanye West’s second Nike shoe should explain some things. The crisp look above shows that the Yeezy 2′s upper is constructed of nylon mesh, suede, and snakeskin leather. In addition, the tongue on the sneaker is composed of Nike’s performance-ready Torch material. The pictures below reveal one of the model’s main inspirations behind the Yeezy 2: Egyptian culture. If you did not know, West is a big fan of giant, gold Horus chains. On the Yeezy 2, he shows his love for the Egyptian god with a Horus tongue logo. Egyptian tributes continue on the shoe with the Nike trainer-like strap, which has a collection of hieroglyphs on the non-apparent side. And instead of a plastic lacelock, the Yeezy 2 has a smaller snakeskin leather lacelock. Other features of the Yeezy 2, like the glow-in-the-dark sole, bright lining, and grooved back surely give the sneaker some pizzaz. Top it all off with a dust bag for each shoe, and you have not just a sneaker, but an experience. For now, or at least until the supposed April 13 release date hits, you can entertain yourself with detailed pictures of the Wolf Grey/Pure Platinum Yeezy 2 below the cut. (more…)
I previously reported that the upcoming “Sheriff” Reebok Pump OXT would release this Friday, March 23rd, at Extra Butter. However, the shoe will actually release the next day, Saturday, March 24th. Specifically, the “Sheriff” will be release at midnight at Extra Butter’s physical location (266 Merrick Road, Rockville Centre, NY) and at 11 AM on their website. Not to mention that some apparel that has yet to be revealed will be released with the shoe too! Stay tuned to Sole Camp for any further information on the “Sheriff” Pump OXT.
With the huge reception that the “South Beach” LeBron 8 brought Nike back in 2010, some people anticipated that Nike would dress the LeBron 9 in a similar colorway. Well, it has been nearly half a year into the LeBron 9′s run, and finally, a “South Beach”-like colorway is revealed. The Wolf Grey/Mint Candy-New Green-Pink Flash colorway will find its way onto not the regular LeBron 9, but rather, a playoff-ready P.S. Elite version. This year, Nike Basketball is set to put out premium Elite versions of the LeBron 9, Zoom Kobe VII, and Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 with performance advantages for basketball players. Unfortuantely for fans of the “South Beach” 9 P.S. Elite, no release information is known just yet. Once more is known about when this grey, pink, and teal LeBron 9 is dropping at Nike Basketball accounts, we’ll let you know. (Picture via Sneakersensei)
