Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 PEs for Jeremy Lin & Blake Griffin

Earlier in the Zoom Hyperdunk 2011′s run, Nike released a series of NBA team color-oriented Hyperdunk 2011s for the masses. However, it looks like that will not stop the big brand from dropping some Player Exclusive versions of the basketball silhouette.

Injuries have harmed the New York Knicks all season long, from Baron Davis’s herniated disk that kept him from playing at the start of the season to Tyson Chandler’s wrist problems, and even groin problems for Carmelo Anthony. But no injury to the Knicks’ roster looks to be more severe than Jeremy Lin’s meniscus tear that will keep him out for the rest of the regular season. Lin’s up-tempo style of play put the Knicks into a gear that no one knew they had, and although some of that will be present at points, there is no question that Lin’s presence has a major impact on if the up-tempo style shows itself. At perhaps just the wrong time for Nike, images of a Jeremy Lin Hyperdunk 2011 Low PE different from the All-Star Game Weekend one have surfaced. The shoe’s Knicks-colored upper and “Linsanity” insole are good and all, but will the sneaker see a release with Lin down and out? For that, we will have to wait and see.

Sure, the LeBrons, Kobes, KDs, and Foamposites from All-Star Weekend were cool. But buy the end of the weekend, people were wondering where and how they could get their hands on other player’s “Galaxy” sneakers. Perhaps the most covered of all was Blake Griffin’s Hyperdunk 2011 Supreme PE that, for one, had a moon graphic, and also popped like no other sneaker with multicolored laces and bright green accents. Alas, those two things will stay with the true Player Exclusive. However, this color up of the enhanced Hyperdunk 2011, complete with lunar graphics, starry laces and midsole, and “BG32″ tongue logo, will be released at some point. When the release date is revealed, expect to see it here. (Pictures via Nice Kicks)
