adidas Originals B-Sides Collection

adidas Originals B-Sides Collection

Towards the beginning of this summer, Jake informed you all about an upcoming Bape and adidas Originals collaboration that was the first revealed sneaker in adidas Originals’s “B-Sides” collection. The collection (currently) features five sneakers that are re-takes on past adidas releases, four of which are collaborations. Here’s a look at the collection, in it’s entirety.

Bape x adidas Originals B-Sides Superstar 80s

Bape x adidas Originals B-Sides Superstar 80s

The B-Sides Superstar 80s that Bape and adidas Originals have concocted is a clean, yet stunning take on the classic Super Ape Star that released back in 2003. If you want a full description of the sneaker and it’s inspiration, check Jake’s post on it (that I previously mentioned). The Bape x adidas Originals B-Sides Superstar 80s has already released (on August 13th), exclusively at the adidas Concept stores in London and Berlin, and at Bape stores in Japan. There are some pairs of these on eBay, but they’re currently selling for prices in the high hundreds, so act quick before prices go even higher! (More pictures here)

adidas Originals B-Sides Micropacer

adidas Originals B-Sides Micropacer

Back at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, the adidas Micropacer released, and stood ahead of its competition. It’s metallic silver upper made it look futuristic, and it’s built-in pedometer that went over the laces was a very nice touch. The Micropacer has re-released in many colorways since then, but this B-Sides Micropacer is the closest thing yet to the OG colorway. It’s subtle switch of red and blue (between the “three stripes” and the midsole) should have classic-sneaker collectors applauding adidas Originals. The B-Sides Micropacer released alongside the Bape B-Sides Superstars in London and Berlin, but there are a few pairs available on eBay. (More pictures here)

UNDFTD x adidas Originals B-Sides Top Ten Hi

UNDFTD x adidas Originals B-Sides Top Ten Hi

In 2008, alongside adidas Originals and designer Estevan Oriol, popular California-based sneaker store UNDFTD released a luxurious white and gold edition of the Top Ten Hi, in tribute to the then almost-30th Anniversary of the Top Ten Hi. Now, for the B-Sides collection, adidas Originals and UNDFTD have unleashed a nice contrast to their previous Top Ten Hi. This one has a black pebbled leather upper, gold accents, and a translucent outsole. Like the previous B-Sides shoes, the UNDFTD B-Sides Top Ten Hi’s already released, both at the adidas Concept stores in London and Berlin on August 13th, and at UNDFTD locations in CA on August 20th. Also like the others, there are some pairs of this Top Ten Hi available on eBay for those of you interested in obtaining it. (More pictures here)

Foot Patrol x adidas Originals B-Sides Campus 80s

Foot Patrol x adidas Originals B-Sides Campus 80s

Foot Patrol, a London-based sneaker boutique, released a pretty cool pack of Campus’s with adidas Originals that had suede uppers, white “three stripes” on the outer side of each sneaker, and snakeskin on the inner side. With Foot Patrol’s B-Side collaboration with adidas Originals, they retain that motif on a nice navy-colored Campus 80s, except that on this sneaker, horse hair replaces the snakeskin. I think the snakeskin could have caught on with the recent trend of snakeskin snapbacks in the streetwear world, but the horse hair is still nice. The Foot Patrol x adidas Originals B-Sides Campus 80s has not been released yet, but I expect that it will release sometime around September 17th at Foot Patrol and at the adidas Concept stores in London and Berlin, alongside… (More pictures here)

Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals B-Sides Forum Hi

Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals B-Sides Forum Hi

This. In 2002, designer Jeremy Scott collaborated with adidas Originals with a pretty left-field project (for adidas at that time): a money-printed Forum Hi. Since then, Scott has started his own line of shoes and clothing with the brand of three stripes. But while Scott’s Teddy Bear sneakers are pretty darn cute (and a favorite of mine), none of his sneakers have had as much pure swagger as the Money Forum Hi’s. Until now. Scott once stated that he would “never” make the Money Hi’s again, but conceptually, his B-Sides sneaker is pretty close to those. While the B-Sides Forum Hi has a tonal brown upper (in comparison to a green money-colored upper), it has Jeremy Scott’s name printed across it, in ode to how money was printed across his first adidas collaboration. The Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals B-Sides Forum Hi also has not released yet, and is expected to release on September 17th at the adidas Concept stores in London and Berlin. Hopefully, a U.S. release is in-store for this Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals sneaker. Keep your fingers crossed! (More pictures here)

Black Friday Sneaker Releases

Black Friday is greatly appreciated each year in the sneaker world, with numerous releases, and even “Black Friday” colorways of some shoes, such as the “Black Friday” Air Force 1′s, designed by DJ Clark Kent, that released on Black Friday 2008. Well this year is certainly not different. Get your wallets ready as you see all of the hot shoes releasing tomorrow.

The Black/Black AF1 Foamposite has a glowing black foamposite upper, a clear sole, round laces and a canvas strap (both unlike the first pair released) (Picture via Dunk).

Nike 6.0 Dunk Low SE “DeLorean”

The DeLorean DMC-12 is a car that exists today in very limited numbers. Only 6500 DMC-12′s are believed to still exist today. That’s not why the DeLorean is so famous, though. You all should know the car from the Back to the Future movie series. Nike 6.0 has partnered with the DeLorean Motor Company on the above Dunk Low SE. The “DeLorean” Nike 6.0 Dunk Low SE will release tomorrow at official Nike locations and select Nike 6.0 retailers (Picture via SneakerNews).

Undefeated and Converse have once again collaborated on a Poorman’s Weapon. The shoe is set to release on Black Friday, this time with a grey satin upper (Picture via High Snobiety).

Supra Vaider “Cool Grey”

Supra, who has released Air Jordan-inspired colorways in the past, will release a “Cool Grey” version of the Vaider, obviously influenced by the Cool Grey XI, tomorrow. The shoe will release exclusively on CCS.com, along with a collection of apparel to match (Picture via SneakerNews).

Supra “Gum Pack”

In addition to the “Cool Grey” Vaiders, this “Gum Pack,” consisting of a white Skytop, a black Vaider, and an obsidian Cuban, each with a gum sole, will also release tomorrow, but only at PickYourShoes.com (Picture via SneakerNews).

Even though it isn’t December yet, these three Anodized AJ1′s, colored up in University Blue, Black, and Voltage Cherry (GS only), respectively, will be available at many Jordan retailers tomorrow (Picture via Extra Butter).

Air Jordan 13 Retro “Flint”

Jordan Brand will finally release the second retro of the “Flint” XIII’s tomorrow. As we have stated in the past, the shoe, unlike the OG and 2005 versions, does not have a 3M underlay, and unlike recent retro releases, will retail for $160. But despite the price hike, the “Flints” are bound to sell out quickly, so be sure to secure your pair as early as possible (PIcture via Exit 36).

Air Jordan 7 Retro Premio “Bin 23″

Air Jordan 7 Retro Premio "Bin 23"

Air Jordan 7 Retro Premio

Last, but certainly not least, is the next shoe in Jordan Brand’s “Bin 23″ collection: the Air Jordan 7 Retro Premio. This colorway of the VII is inspired by what influenced Tinker Hatfield when he made the VII: tribalism and African art. The “Bin 23″ VII will release tomorrow in very limited quantities at Niketowns and Nike Stores across the country, select Jordan Brand retailers, and most House of Hoops locations (the other locations will release the shoe on this upcoming Monday, November 29th, so check with your local HoH to make sure when they’ll have the “Bin 23″ VII). Because the “Bin 23″ VII is so limited, and because it is Black Friday, you should probably get to wherever you plan on getting the shoe quite early to ensure that you will end Black Friday with a pair of “Bin 23″ VII’s (Picture via Jumpman23).

Good luck in getting all of your Black Friday purchases!!
